A poem about a pattern that needs to end.

Another Saturday
Another fight
Heartbroken and lost
Hello again, Sleepless Night

If I gave up
Walked away
Would you chase after me
Or continue to be stubborn and brave

I’m tired of standing here
Won’t you just collapse into my arms
And finally let go of your crippling fears
And finally realize that I won’t do you harm

I understand your reasoning
You’ve had to deal with excessive pain
But you’re making me reconsider loving you
Why push me out when there’s so much to gain

We four are a family
We two are its core
Stop pleading insanity
And just value our love story a whole lot more
