Why don’t you answer me?.=)

The sky is shouting

The heaven is crying

The telephone is ringing

I have to see who’s calling.

**

I said hello in the nicest way

But the caller’s got nothing to say

I said hello the second time around

Hearing nothing but the rain touching the ground.

**

Whoever you are that’s calling

I should say you’re annoying

But what if there’s a problem,

With our old defective modem?

We often get phone calls like that. You never know whether someone is trying to get through or if there is a crank on the other end. Nice work.

I heard it’s usually telemarketers just trying to sell something. I heard they call like 3 at a time and only one call really goes through. People get spooked by this. I use to. Now I just think it must be a telemarketer.

I never say anything first. If the person on the other end doesn’t say anything I don’t say anything. It might be a bill collector.

  • Darla Smith on Sep 19, 2009

My mother in law keeps track of every call that comes in… even wrong numbers. She calls bill collectors to give THEM a hard time. *shakes head* Silly woman.

I really liked your poem! I get calls like that too. It really does get annoying when people call and don’t say anything. If they take too long to speak, I end up hanging up on them.
