Poem that describes how autumn winds affect the night sky, dusk to darkness. For, as dusk dissolves, Heaven’s fires ignite. Autumn winds whisper through the night. Much more imagery found here.
The winds of autumn whisper through the night,
now bidding sweet adieu to summer’s mode.
As clouds move swiftly o’er moon’s golden light,
gray shadows veil the glory, chant an ode.
Some nights now laced with frost an episode,
as dying summer love, an autumn rite.
Alone, life’s burden now a heavy load,
the winds of autumn whisper through the night.
May love, in autumn’s splendor, reunite.
search out her magic often unbestowed,
a chill as harvest moon paints world of white,
now bidding sweet adieu to summer’s mode.
It’s said love has no reason, course nor code,
for myriads of reasons dreams take flight.
We travel down an unknown rocky road,
as clouds move swiftly o’er moon’s golden light.
A harbinger of winter’s boundless might,
deserted beaches, fields where once we bode.
As dusk dissolves and Heaven’s fires ignite,
gray shadows veil the glory, chant an ode.
As future hopes and dreams arise, erode,
of summer’s quick demise one cause we cite,
toward winter’s wealth of silver, steps are strode.
While season’s golden glow relieves our plight,
the winds of autumn whisper.
