Love, marriage, and heartbreak.
It hurts a great deal
To always be second
My life turns around
Even more than you reckon
I want to give you time
I want to give you space
But I tell you in a rhyme
This is not a race
You have a choice
That is very clear
My eyes get moist
You are so dear
I can’t help but think
Everyone has a dream
It seems to be right there, right on the brink
Chasing a dream, fun as it might seem
Is like chasing a rainbow, a unicorn, a king
Never to be real, disappointing when it is
Not as important as a ring
Not as strong as the kids
