Apollo is a Greek god that is a handsome beardless young man and a supreme judge.

Apollo is the Greek god

Of light and sun

In whose hands

All healing rests

- – -

So if you’re ill

Do not hesitate to seek

The healing touch of Apollo

- – -

If you’re a shepherd

With a herd of cattle

Call on Apollo

For your herd’s welfare

For he’s the provider of all things

Good and bad

- – -

Apollo takes a human form

As a beardless, handsome

Young man that was known

As Adonis in the 1800s

His statue stands

In the Architectural Museum

Of Olympia

- – -

He’s a supreme judge

Known in Greek mythology

And associated with the control

Of territories

By sovereign governments

- – -

Throughout the ages, Apollo

Has been used as common themes

In Greek and Roman Art

And in masterpieces

Of the  Renaissance

That swept Europe
