A poem from the center of my ripe imagination.

Snow white sand covers the ground
Muffles the sound of crocodiles
Standing up and falling down

A migrant stands beside the fence
Of broken bones and old cement
He wonders at the laughter

A silicon boat careens on by
From the center of the Hatters dream
You know its you they’re after

You barely have the time to scream
Feed the fish and kill the cat
That knows your face from memory

Heavy feet squeak on the stairs
You hear their earrings jingle
Or maybe its the house
Shaking off the shingles

Where is the derringer your brother left
When he went off to war
In the chifferobe or freezer
In the apple jelly jar

I like it Ruby. I was a little late finding it. It’s a little different than your others.

What a great imaginative mind you have, my friend.
