An analogy of spring and romance.

Summer’s here already–spring ended all too soon.
What in the world became of April, May and June?
I had to sit myself down and think for just a minute
And consider my dusty mind and just what was in it.

Then my memory drifted back to when I was a lad,
When life was good and time stood still for just a tad.
Back when I was frisky–howling at the moon
I used to date three girls named April, May and June.

It won’t be long till autumn comes and leaves will fall.
Winter’s right behind but spring I’ll still recall.
Take it either way you want to, I still sing this tune–
I wonder whatever happened to April, May and June.

Knowing your wit I guessed that it wasn’t about months of the year when I saw the title and I wasn’t disappointed. Great sense of humour and fun poem!

You’re right, goes by way too fast ~at least the months do, I just don’t know about the girls

I don’t think a private detective could solve those cases; they went beyond to never-mind land? Or something like that… You have a great sense of humor. Thanks for sharing!

As always Ken excellent work.It is always so creative and original and this is no exception.I always love the added humour. One good thing is you may not be able to remeber the months but you rememeber the girls so you haven’t forgotten everything.hehehe jk
