At one time or another in our lives, we all have to deal with forsaken love.

My love for you has sustained me in hard times

at night I whimper your name in my slumber

you have forsaken our love and gone with another

I am April’s fool

Yearning for you has flourished throughout the years

tears well up within my soul seeing your face in my dreams

I awake to start a new day without your gentle touch

I am April’s fool

Here is another Spring locked in remembrance of you

my days have shortened to a mere breeze without you

ruminating over thoughts you would return to our love

I am April’s fool
