Pure Phenomenon.

On the return trip from the theater,

we spotted in the sky

a sight beyond this realm,

to see it, one must die!

It was a swirling light form

a dance forever gone,

it mesmerized our minds,

and had us snapping pics before long.

I still know not what it was,

when I questioned the air,

Father simply said,

“It’s an Ariela.”

He proclaimed this with such conviction

I knew it had to be true!

What else could shine like that,

in the sky so blue?

The sun was its companion,

blinding us as we glimpsed.

It was more of a protector,

the creator figured I sensed.

As we drew nearer, the sight changed

its puffs and whiddle made itself

blend

with the surrounding sky

but why?

Was this phenomena, not meant for our eyes?

Would it always escape us, no matter how hard our tries?

The Ariela was gone,

it left a covenant

in the corner of the sky was a rainbow

not an arch or an eclipse,

twas a mere round lovely

something film had to miss.

I later learned that sight I saw

was not an Ariela.

“What’s that?” I asked.

“It’s something I just made up,” He laughed.

I will always remember that image,

perhaps I’ll paint it.

Others will see my mysterious Ariela.
