She’s Always On My Mind!
Mother’s Day Mother’s Day
I don’t like it anymore
Of course when My Mom was still alive
It was a day I’d always adore.
A day to show Her Extra how much I care
To shower Her with gifts and love
But now She’s gone so it’s not the same
~ With Her sharing from above.
Yet I will still Bless and Honor Her
I’ll just send my wishes above
For I’m pretty sure that’s the only way
She could ever receive all of my love.
I find that every year I miss Her more
Her Birthday, Mother’s Day and Christmas seem worst of all
But thankfully I have millions and millions of memories
Of past celebrations I often recall.
There are other Great Women in my life
That are of a motherly type to me
So I also celebrate this day for them
Yet My Dear Mom they’ll never be.
So I pray She receives my wishes again this year
As I’ll send them every year forevermore
For I need to stay in touch since I still miss Her so much
Although it’s really sad when that’s what Mother’s Day is for.
