Leaves Stop! changing color
As then you fall too fast
Your colors are so beautiful
Though way to quickly your time does pass.
The air’s been nice
Though cooler than I’d like
Yet the perfect time of year
To ride a bike or even hike.
But there’s been almost a steady breeze
Continuing day to day
Making it more difficult
For the colored leaves to stay.
The Fall season’s really beautiful
But way too short for sure
For once the leaves have fallen
They become a dull brown floor.
Then before long
All will be white
Bringing amazement
Of another beautiful sight.
But unlike the colored leaves
I don’t want the white to stay too long
A day or two is all I need
Then I’m already ready for it all to be gone.
By then I’m already eager for Spring
With new buds on the trees again
Though I’m actually always most eager for Summer
Although then soon once again Fall will begin.
