Losing a loved one is hard.

As you lay there dying
I cannot look away
You are so beautiful
I miss you today
As you lay there dying
Memories flow to mind
Girl talk over coffee
Cherished better times
As you lay there dying
Hands pale and tiny
You gave those hands to me
I have them to remind me
As you lay there dying
You are looking at me
Giving one last smile
Now it’s all I see
As you lay there dying
I say goodbye to you
I will miss you grandma
You’re here in all I do
Goodbye

Very sad, Kimberly, but full of heart. I’m sorry for your lost.

This poem is reminding me of the one I just submitted called Remembering Grandma.
This piece has brought tears to my eyes, thank you for posting such a heart moving piece.

Very moving, ‘you’re here in all I do’ is so true at these times.

You had me tearing up too. I’m starting to love your poetry, seriously. :)
