This is a short poem about my grandma that died in November 2011. This was made for her ash ceremony.
It’s time to scatter your ashes
Letting the world hear our cry
Every angel sprouts it’s wings
And they learn how to fly
Physically, you’re gone
But mentally you’re here
The past we still hold
Our memories so clear
You were such a great woman
With such a strong heart
But this isn’t the end
It’s just another start
So when we look to the sky
We know you are there
And can always talk to you
Through any prayer
And now that you’re
Finally put to rest
In heaven you’ll stay
As one of the best
