When someone’s ambitions are your inhibitions.. .

She is as life

She will not believe

The sight which lingers morbidly to the me I’ll rather be

She covers my eyes to forbid me to see

Let go of the sheet, you’re smothering me!

My windpipes closing

I can barely breathe

Look at what you’re doing to me!

My eyesight is blurry and I’m losing my vision

Like salt in the engine; sludge in a piston

Like black and white pictures, I’m losing my color

How can I keep afloat without my rudder

You’ve cut my airway so you wouldn’t have to listen

To the last of my endeavors, I hope my tears still glisten
