Poem from “The Deep Dark Sweet Rantings of a Yeshua Freak” by Lady Frangelica Seraphica Zen.

ASTRAL TO EARTH

I could never tell you what I desire because words get lost

Between fantasy and reality regarding you

Yet I know you exist no matter what the world

May tell me about my bouts of mind over matter

It is not that strange what I desire in a life partner

Has already manifested out of the shadows

Where I found you so easily

Once you came out to play, you found

That the whole of the universe waited

On you to find me and vice versa

You need not be surprised

When you heard the sky chiming with the wind

Or when I saw the sun dancing with the moon

When we first kissed and no

It wasn’t a fantasy

It was the simple yet multi-layered conception

Of what we dreamed and what we are now

It won’t be complicated to love you

The way that I always wanted to love someone

Because it was always meant to be you

And only you

Sounds fatalistic yet it is not

Sometimes the suggestion that one has to go through suitors

And sailors like water to find a gem is false

Sometimes I believe one is more than enough

To make me want to be solitary forever

Should you dissolve into another world

May it never occur without me, beloved

I am able to tell you what I really desire

Now in reality

You lace and unlace my corset for the sheer excitement

Of hearing me exhale involuntarily

Placing your face so close to mine

That our lips make us breathe the same air

In the same space

I may think some things strange about you

And you are sure to find some things strange within me, too

But that won’t matter because it will be enjoyed

It will be enjoyed if not understood

As a delightful idiosyncrasy

I can write a poem about every part of your face

How it thrills me to study your visage

We are as comfortable as an old shoe with each other

We smile without pretense

It appears softly and with ease

Like the comfort of our skin to skin moments

Everything about each other

Now feels like home

And the reality rests within us

We may even think like couples

That has experienced 20-25 years of marriage…within a year

Ah impossible some if not all have told us

But those who love and know us

Know there are no impossibilities among us

All the forewarnings of the fearful and ignorant

About staying away from the texture of my hair

And the duskiness of my skin

Why her?

Why him?

Oh the questions fell deaf upon the ears of love

We are cloaked in the echelon of the upper room

I have no fear, my love

We walk hand in heart

Heart in mind

Mind in soul

And on and on

Remember this song when the rain washes

Over us into a heaven of our own

Whisper me back to earth when your passion

Rocks my world like a storm

I promise to hold you tight when the love

Feels ethereal because it is so earthy

So don’t let go because the roots of our desire

Were planted on medieval ground

Don’t be alarmed if you hear the lute

We were birthed during the Renaissance

We hid during the Inquisition for our love was pantheistic

Let the velvet of our cloaks rest heavily

Upon our shoulders with grace and serenity

I only want to see the soft weathering of your skin

Beneath the still boyish grin

You know we were meant to be because

We never believed in aging but rather vitality

Like the verdure of our garden and the ambrosia

From the table of God

Yes, goodness continues to flow like sap

Into our lives even when the winter comes

Whenever we plant, we grow and flourish even during famine

Spirit speaks again and this is certain not a feeble wish

Darkness is nothing more than an abyss

Where we can spin our vivid dreams invisibly

The light is the answer of the Creator

Saying Yes to you and me

Come on angel

Since you are no longer lost

Between the realms of fantasy

For you and I are a reality.
