On the happenings of the day as it ends. Some pleasant, some not as pleasant, an ordinary day.
As this another day is now beginning to draw to an end,
With your thoughts reminding you of the type it has been.
Some very pleasant and bringing a smile unto your face,
While other thoughts begin to let a frown take it’s place.
Thinking of that guy at work who’s been low on your chart,
Always acting kind of cocky and thinking he is extra smart.
Then, today he stood by you as your job was in jeopardy,
Showing a side of him you thought you would never see.
Now a deed such as this can put a high on most any day,
The only drawback being, it does not always stay this way.
For just as things were settling down, a normal day again,
All of a sudden trouble shows up, poking it’s ugly head in.
This one’s tougher than the first, but solved by day’s end,
Now lying there and thinking what kind of day it has been.
When this peaceful thought comes, just as you fall asleep,
God promised to be with you and His promise He did keep.
