Upon the rising of the Son,

It brought a dark world light!

It brought us out of darkness,

No longer in the night!

Why were we lost in darkness?

The sin in all men’s hearts.

God shed His Love and Light abroad,

Into our inward parts.

God became sin and darkness,

Who is the Light of Life.

To warm the hearts who will believe,

In this cold world of strife!

Do you have a life worth living,

Or are you in the cold?

Pray God give you fresh fervency,

To live for Him so bold!

For where there is no sunshine,

There is death, disease, and stench.

But the Sun of Life gives water,

Thine eternal thirst to quench!

Thus the day of your salvation,

Is in Heaven eternally set.

Have you taken Him as Saviour,

Who died and rose to pay your debt?

Is the day of your salvation,

In His Book eternally marked,

Is your anchor set in Heaven,

As on earth you sail your bark?

May that day of your salvation,

Be set in Heaven’s book.

For one day they all will be opened,

And the Judge will take a look!

Is that day of your salvation,

In Heaven eternally sealed,

Jesus died and rose to save thee,

Give thee Life so new and real!

And He lives to walk thy pathway,

As through this life you go.

God, the ris’n and eternal Gardener

Rose to make thy life to grow!

Jesus rose, defeated Satan,

Doomed forever to live in Hell.

Rose to claim the keys forever,

He is Risen, let us tell!
