Mythology.

Athena is probably the most extraordinary Goddess out of any mythological God or Goddess. She was the only one that was born right out of Zeus’s head. That is why she is the main Goddess of wisdom. Even though it is said that Athena did not have a mother, there might have been a way she could have had one. It is said that Zeus’s first wife was Metis. After Zeus married her, he assimilated her into himself because Zeus’s parents told him to do that because they found her suspicious of trying to take his “kingly rank” away from him. When Athena came out of Zeus’s mind, she was already wearing full armor.

Athena is the Goddess of wisdom, but she also is the Goddess of the city. This is why Greece has a city named after Athena, Athens. She is the protector of civilized life, artesian activities, and agriculture. She was known for taming horses so that humans could ride them. Athena also created the olive tree. It is said that Athena used to come down a lot of times from Mount Olympus to visit her people in Athens. She was always happy and the people loved her. Athena would teach them how to cook, make cloth and clothing, and how to succeed in the daily jobs her people performed. Her best gift to the people of Athens was how to weave and make beautiful arts and crafts. She is the inventor of the flute and the horse chariot. Athena is the only one who possesses the keys to Zeus’s thunderbolts and she alone is entitled to wear his aegis. Athena was in favor of peace, she was a Goddess of preventing wars too. Even though she loved peace everywhere, she would strike anybody who threatened her people. She would go around and stop wars from happening in her spare time. Even today Athena spiritually comes down and protects her culture in Athens and helps those people who have trust and believe in her.
