Cyber-pixies ate my homework;

Now I don’t know what to do -

I honed it to perfection,

But the sodding thing fell through.

It really was a masterpiece, a

Magnum Opus of my art;

But thanks to cyber-pixies

Once again I have to start.

Oh, you’d have loved the language,

How I played with syntax rare,

But all is lost, for then I emailed

Straight into the thinnest air.

Cyber-pixies, let my work alone,

Dine well on others’ rhetoric;

Like lawyers, ‘countants, tax-collectors

And of course the piffle politic.
