Written while watching a soap opera. I forget which one, because I was simply keeping someone company.

Attitudes

Attitude, attitude, whatever does it mean
An arrogant state of mind, a feeling unseen
When paired with a brain, entirely without wit
Fittingly benighted, one must sadly admit

Attitude, attitude, whatever does it mean
When replies retaliate, with words that demean
To argue and explain to such an empty shell
In that shallow pit where hypocrites dwell

Attitude, attitude, whatever does it mean
When run by a living breathing insult machine
Fills the air with hypocrisy, all of the day
So be ever vigilant, or a price you will pay

Attitude, attitude, whatever does it mean
Be guarded in your words, avoid the obscene
Show all your character, with temper in check
Be ready to chuck it, and say, what the heck

It’s hard to get rid of an attitude, but you are right it’s not the best thing to have.
