Comtemplating my life, past and present, accepting life as it is, feeling assured I am here for a purpose and all is well. A faint breeze floats through the air and from afar lighting flashes. Night is closing in as I sit by my window in thoughtful meditation.

On the kitchen counter red plums
soft and sweet scent the room
tender on the tongue
they melt in my mouth.

I sit in my rocker
tasting the last of the day.
The sun makes lacy shadows
on leaves outside my window.
Ivy swirls down rails of the deck.
Green tendrils stir in the evening air.

In the distance are sounds of thunder
and far flashes of yellow light.
A warm breeze floats in like tepid water.
Night is slowly closing in.
I sit quietly in meditation
accepting this stage of my life.

I who am sure of nothing
not of where I come
how I came to be here
or where I am going.

Thoughful look into ones life. Sometime I like to sit in the quiet and thank about who I am.
