Its melody lulling you to slumber…

Last few drops of summer

To be savored through time

Never forgotten, always held close

Winter arriving someday

Inevitable…

Let August’s lullaby

Lure you into sleep

Awaiting midst all commotion

For dream to overtake you

Dance in a magical realm

Streaks of enchanted stardust

Memories of good old days

Reminiscent ‘neath the sunset

Let August’s charm

Delight you one last time

Then vanish… like

Evanescence of the morning mist,

Drifting away…

This is August’s lullaby.

Your poem depicts the month of August perfectly. With a beautiful sense of eloquence, you have mastered the last drop of Summer. What a sweet lullaby!
