The crimes committed against humanity and the Jews in the extermination camp of Auschwitz, where more than one million people were murdered in part of the greatest genocides in history. Remember them, they did live, and were murdered!

The entrance to the main camp of Auschwitz I

The gas chamber (showers) of Auschwitz I

This is one of the crematoria at Auschwitz I

NEVER FORGET THIS ATROCITY, THIS INHUMANITY, THIS HOLOCAUST ON A BARBARIC SCALE!

AUSCHWITZ

Coffins of wood on railroad tracks,

No stops, no place to rest and lay back;

Odor strong, and growing bolder,

Must stand, no room – it’s getting colder;

Stopping now, days have passed,

Fresh breeze comes through door at last;

Weapons in our faces, jerked about,

Why do they separate us? and shout?

Men one way, women somewhere off,

What? Do you mean my clothes to doff?

Not civilized what they plan and do,

Cold, and naked, now showers, too!

I could use one, after that long ride,

Where are the towels? oh, outside!

Why is the door being locked?

I hear the pipes, but water is blocked,

Some misty spray that chokes and burns,

Oh, it is horrible, the pain that turns!

Quickly, it passes and leaves pain no more,

Dead, forever, on a concrete floor;

With so many others around me,

Where do they take us now to be?

In wheelbarrows to the furnace I go,

Dumped in like garbage and set aglow;

The black, choking smoke ascends with another,

Up to the heavens and my glorious Father!

He will remember, and they will pay,

For this Holocaust of His People this day!

    Powerful writing here. We better not ever forget this. Look how one man led so many to this extreme evil. And it can happen again, slowly but surely it could. This one tragic evil should convince all of the evil we have inside without a Savior.

    Did you read anything by Corrie Ten Boom. She passed on but she was a Christian, she was there. She has a powerful testimony of how God helped her survive this. You may have read it. I love her. I secretly adopted her as my Aunt when I first came to Christ.

    What has made you write on this topic. For me, I think we should be careful, look at what the government is doing?

    Some say we should forget, others say this is a lie, but we must remember, and know it is the truth! Thanks for keeping this alive in the minds of this generation!

    You are so explicit in your expression! I can now feel the emotion that your poem is radiating. It is no doubt, one of the most unpardonable genocides in history. Yet there are those that deny it, and by so doing, they are actually condoning this terrible deed that can never be obliterated from memory nor lost in the labyrinths of history.
