Lord, all, I am happy to be Michael Martin

At age18 I didn’t know what I wanted to do

I wanted to do more in life than just courting

I joined the Air Force to protect all of you

This was my first step in pursuing any goals

I worked in many jobs some not happy to do

Including washing dirty plates and bowls

Yet still I didn’t know what job to pursue

I retired from the Air Force with a degree

Worked in different profession in 2003

Got my Real Estate license to feel free

Sold many homes gave clients the key

Got a second job to as a Technical Engineer

I had to stay current in my field of study

Worked in fast past environment in 5th gear

When off went to Tennessee to see my buddy

Still I felt there was something else to do

I looked in my past and I found answers

A pastor wanted me to preach and be true

That man died shortly after from cancer

Other past events showed me the way

I felt that I was destined for greatness

I have ignored my calling but not today

I am very happy to be Michael Martin

Thank you Lord for all you have done

You showed me the way to go in life

You showed me that life is not all fun

You wouldn’t give too much pain to bear

I am here today to write in many forms

This is what I was really meant to do

I will work hard in quieting the storm

I will help others because I believe in you
