This haiku is an impression of the season. Fall in Kansas can be quite beautiful, full of color and harvest, as well as the never ending wind that speeds along the plains.

Leaves fall, a bright rain

A curtain of swift color

Dancing back in wind.

It actually took me a while to realize that Americans call autumn ‘fall’. But anyway, nice haiku. It really captures the season, in only a handful of words.

For being a poet, LOL, I have never been good at haiku. I don’t know why. I liked your poem though. It is that time of year again, and you put perfectly how the season of ‘fall’ really is. The leaves do dance in the wind. Sometimes it seems the color just sneaks up on you! :) Nice poem. I liked it! Thanks!
