A free verse poem about depression.

Awake While Sleeping

Silence lays down with

The silenced child,

Age does not matter here.

Questions from people

You cannot answer

Because there is no answer

With which to reply.

You feel like crying,

A dead river of tears

Rushes through your mind.

Strangling all your fears

Is a rope you have slowly

Twisted inch by inch

Over all your years.

Over means under

And up means down

Inside this vicious circle.

Tumbling through thoughts

Too rusted to repair

Is a distant vision

Of what could be you.

And you pray.

You pray every day.

Yes in the Morning and while going to bed we should pray and thanks to Gods that they make us a human being
