Listening for the whispers, of awareness…

Listening For The Whispers
Most of the time in this busy, hurried
world, we have to be mindful of things
going on around us. We rush to work,
crowd through traffic and keep our
minds often planning ahead or thinking
back to something in the past we wish
we had or had not done.
It is hard to be open to total awareness.
The kind of awareness that tunes us in
to the inner self, the spirit, the parts of
us that is so very important to “Feel.”
I can’t help but believe because of this
lack of being aware, we miss so much.
Maybe things we would never imagine.
I heard a Phychiartist say once, that we
all dive into things too fast. We have the
knowledge without the wisdom. We have
a wedding band on our finger but have
not the slightest what it represents. The
good Phyc said if we will only give life
some time we will meet our soul mate.
We are too busy rushing into things to
just let it happen,
I know I have lost a lot of good things by
driving in high gear. On the other hand,
I have gained a lot that has caused me
barrels of trouble. There is also many
people who believe everything happens
for a divine reason and there are no
mistakes, just lessons from which we
learn. I remember a scripture which
came from the teachings of Jesus.
He said we oftentimes miss the mark,
that we could do better for ourselves.
I know for sure I am good at missing
the bullseye. My desire is to become
more aware of myself and others.
