This song is written in memory of George Davies the boy who inspired J.M. Barie to write his famous novel Peter Pan. Davies died in combat in 1915 during WWI.

Silently I wait in a deep trench
Soon the land will drench
in young men’s blood
Knee-deep in mud
Under a crimson sky
That’s where I lie
What more can I say
I won’t live through the day
Brothers wipe your tears
I’ll travel back to childhood years

CHORUS:
I fly to the second star to the right
Straight till morning light
Back to the Lost boys in Never Land
Under my command
We’ll set a trap in every little brook
Forever fighting captain Hook

Many young men have fallen before
The world is at war
With home far away
I have to obey
Part of the war machine
In Nineteen Fifteen
What more can I say
I won’t live through the day
Brothers wipe your tears
I’ll travel back to childhood years

CHORUS

Tell me what’s the glory of it all
Knowing we will fall
Who’s the enemy
What’s victory
When you’re long gone
The end before dawn
What more can I say
I didn’t live through the day
Brothers wipe your tears
I travelled back to childhood years
