A poem about my life and how I have changed dramatically in the past few months.
I have slipped, I have fallen,
Yet I have gotten up each time and triumphed over it all,
Always soaring higher than I was before.
Two months ago, I was on a crash course with fate,
And I was well on my way towards defeat.
I had no residence,
Nothing to show for myself,
And I had nothing to look forward for in my future.
Nine days ago, that all changed;
I now have a future,
Something to look forward to,
I have my dreams,
Now I can see my potential come full circle,
Let my mark shine upon this world.
I have had a hard life,
So many hard knowcks,
So many hard, painful,
And much-needed lessons learnd.
I may be homeless,
No bed to lay my head,
but I shall never be broken,
Never be desperate,
And I will never want for naught,
For my spirit shines with a fire that will never be extinguished,
For I am a Christain,
And God is with me every step of my journey.
