Have you ever noticed how you will get one of these if you are trying to post at the last minute or when 9/10’s asleep?

I’ve written it once,
I’ve written it twice;
If you want comments,
You have to give comments–
To expect otherwise
Just isn’t nice!

But I may be defeated,
I may not be polite;
Else I may be here
Half the night.
It’s not a wish to be crude,
Nor boorishly rude…

It’s the security string
Has defeated me twice!

It surely should be noted,
Perhaps even quoted
How much Ell’s look like Ones,
And ones look like ells!
Or perhaps those are just
Lengthy bell clappers
Sounding my comments death knells!

    It seems this happens a lot.

    Glad some one brought it up. I also hate the 1 and l letters that I can’t tell the difference . I also hate the u and y. I have to strain my eyes to see if it has a tail on it. I also hate it when I write a long comment and it gets completely erased before getting posted. This wastes my time from reading other peoples articles and poems. God knows I stay on this site far too much already LOL

    i was posting a comment and it just got erased..how iritating is that well anyway..it has become a problem..at times i just click on like it and leave the page..

    I have had a bad time with those too. It took me a while to work out the difference between them. I have made a point now of copying each comment so if it doesn’t take I have not lost it.

    I find its worse when I have two or more windows open at the same time. very annoying having to write and rewrite

    So true, so very true!

    So I’m not the only one who can’t tell the ‘l’ from the ‘1′.I have done what Christine mentioned, copy a comment, especially if I have written a long comment. I’ve tried to develop the habit of waiting after I have clicked submit until the top of the article comes back, and check for “bad security string” before I close the window. My comment is usually still there and I just have to repeat the code and my triond credentials.

    So funny and so true, nicely put Daisy …I always check my comment is on before I close the article …so frustrating sometimes though!

    I wonder why we need to type a code anyway. oh oh. I think there is an l down there. Or is it a 1? Guess what? They are the same character! Oh wait, the 1 has a tilted hat and the l is straight on top. I am about 6 inches away with glasses on to see that difference. But when you type the l below, it is a straight line. My goodness!

    I have learned if it is a long comment I want to make that I copy it first then I can cut and paste if needed.
