A difficult student reflects back on missed opportunities.

I would avoid school like the plague

If I could pull a “sickie” and persuade

My dear trusting parents to sway

And get my selfish, silly little way

Every child needs discipline,

It helps them to feel secure

I always believed I was different

And worth so much more

I was a difficult student

Not wanting to be there

I like what I liked

And showed no regard or care

Thank God for hindsight

For growing up and learning

I wish I would have applied myself

I think alot of people would do school differently, if only we had a chance to go back and do it all again. Well written, I could relate to it.

Honest and insightful but life is too short for regrets.
