The animal that caught my attention.

The savage Eagle, full of fire,
Who can match this hunting flyer?
For fear of that which is unknown,
The powerful beast is left alone.

The massive Eagle sits awake,
Perched above the rippling lake,
The fish that is first seen as his prey,
Will not make it through the day.

He watches from his mountain walls,
And like a thunderbolt he falls,
The trout it grabs begins to thresh,
As the talons dig into his flesh.

He carries back the fish with pride,
To eaglets with their mouths spread wide,
Excited, they jump and chirp and tweet,
Waiting for the juicy treat.

Who would ever dare to stay,
In his presence for a day?
Whatever he has seen as prey,
He will never fail to slay.

The savage Eagle, full of fire,
Who dares match this hunting flyer?
For fear of all that is unknown,
The powerful beast is left alone.

This is great. I love bald eagles. They are amazing creatures. You should try to enter this into some kind of nature contest or submit it to a magazine. It’s really good.

Eagles. Symbols of America. You wrote us a well written poem to keep them ever in our minds.
