A journey of my family’s recent baptism.

As sure as these words fall from the tip of my tongue,
that my fingers may write them,
I will not fall for fear of landing.

As I take strength in knowing the winds will lift me up,
I will be set free.
Surrendered to the beauty beneath me.
Its myriad of inspiring wonders.
I gaze to eternity and feel my burdens lifted.

Selflessness like no other.
Love without bounds nor limits.
I want to describe the indescribable
but I can only come close
and even that’s so far away.

I want Him to know that I acknowledge his sacrifice.
That I would lay before his feet in honor,
but my words fall short still.
I can only tell Him through who I am yet to be.

I am cleansed,
and I am at the beginning.
I have the will and the want to be blessed
within Your grace.
And as sure as these words deem inadequate,
I will forever by humbled by Your saving grace.

If you have died with Christ through baptism, then you shall also rise like Him one day in the resurrection of the dead. Great poem my friend :)
