Poem about having a basement that is loaded with junk.

Image via Wikipedia

Be very careful

Going down the basement

Or else you might get lost.

There are books aplenty;

Old school papers,

Dishes and mugs,

Tons of Happy Meal Toys,

Videos and video games,

Clothes that don’t fit,

Clothes that are outdated,

Birthday cards, anniversary cards, and Valentine cards,

Tools of all kinds,

A dead mouse named Sam,

Two squirrels and a muskrat,

Towels and pillow cases,

A bag of potato chips,

A loaf of moldy bread,

Unused bag of diapers,

And five thousand boxes

Of content unknown.

If you don’t come upstairs

In the next few days,

We’ll know where to find you.

Perhaps!
