My stress-coping therapy for crazy days at work.

Be in the moment. Take a deep breathe, then exhale, inhale, again, more air.
Job-related stress made me feel my brain was everywhere.
Cyclone territory within my soul. But yoga encouraged me to let it all go.
Ringing phones, orders flying in the air, work environment was in despair.
Be in the moment. Free your mind of your worries. Do the best you can.
Be in the moment. Take one thing at a time. Appreciate the here, the now, the why.
No need to always be in a hurry. Rush if you must, but be in the moment. Moments slip too quickly by.
Take a deep breathe, pick up the phone, smile and answer.
Slow, steady, calm. Be a tortoise not a hare.
Be in the moment. Take a deep breathe, exhale, inhale, again, more air.

I love this and it hits close to home for me. I am a big advocate of living in the NOW. It’s something that doesn’t comenaturally for me.

Life is so precious and we can all benefit from not looking ahead or at the past too much. It really does rob us of so much living!

    Great work.

gianne: Cool! I, too, think that living in the moment really helps people to live well. To really live truly is to be one with the present moment.

But don\’t worry, I don\’t think it is natural for most people. I struggle with it – I often worry and get stressed and need to remind myself often to take things slowly and one step at a time. It\’s easy to get caught up in our minds (with the past or future because of regrets or worries), but being aware that that happens can give us the knowledge to recognize that doing so is taking away the present!

We all should take the time to smell the roses. Life rushes by so fast.

    Good advice.

    Thanks,

    Inna

Ruby: Definitely! I need to be remind to enjoy the beautiful things of life. They are usually near us daily, but since we are in a rush, we often overlook them. Or don’t have the insight to appreciate them because our minds are elsewhere.

    Inna: Thank you!

Thank you for this wonderful reminder. As I read it, it caused me to breathe, exhale, inhale. It’s just what I needed and very well written.

Great, Joni! That is so cool that the poem itself had the “power” to inspire yoga breathes. I’m so happy you enjoyed it.
