An ode to the philosophy of Lu Tung Pin.

I keep telling myself this is just the way things are.

Here I stand, a single line drawn in the sand.

A lone sentinel watching over the air, water, and land.

Suprised that humanity made it this far.

Raised my weary head from where I laid it the night before,

Just to find more depressing shit splashed across the news.

People acting like their crummy life was the only one they had to choose.

Stuck waiting for God to open them another door.

Broke again, not a dime to my name.

No worries, theres a greater meaning to life,

Like keeping the peace between me and the wife,

And getting back to where I was before tragedy came.

Everyday I put my shoes on one at a time.

Dodging the refuse of humanity while searching for a friend.

I said it before and I’ll say it again,

When’s the last time for another person you did something kind?

Give as if your life depended on it.

There’s no need to stock pile treasure and gold.

It’s just crap that after your gone will be left out in the cold.

It’s all just a bunch of pointless shit.

Help a person in need who isn’t a friend.

Give without getting something in return.

Do something without worrying what you’ll earn.

Do it like it matters cause it will in the end!
