A poem about being still before our God.

Oh, be still my soul and know

that He is God

Off by myself I shalll go

and listen to my God

All alone, in solitude, I am

I hear His voice

that of Christ the lamb

and I listen to His voice

He tells me all is well

and not to be afraid

He was with me when I fell

So I am not afraid

He is always by my side

So, whom shall I fear

He is my friend and guide

So, I shall not fear

His love overflows inside my heart

And this I know

That He and I are never apart

Yes, this I know

I will listen and be still

For He hears my prayer

His love gives me such a thrill

When I come to Him in prayer

My soul is still and at peace

He makes my life feel calm

In Him I find sweet release

And all around is calm

This is how it feels to pray

When I am still and listen

I hear the words God has to say

When I am still and listen

Your words clearly convey to the reader the strength and level of your faith, what it means and how it will get and guide you through. A beautiful attestation. Michael

I like your reverence, trust and willingness to become a friend of the great and wonderful creator. Excellent work.

I tell you what, if you read this as a “rap” it works really well – almost as if that is the rhythm you wrote it in – was it??

There is indeed peace in the presence of God. Wonderful work.
