In the two years after I gained the ship we traveled the globe, visited our family and friends in the east and raided around thirty ships. The amount of gold and riches that we got were paled by the fame we were gaining. It wasn’t long before the ship known as The Deliverance was known to be the home of Torao the tiger-man and his demon crew. We took many ships without having to much trouble taking ships but that didn’t last long. A new enemy was raising.

The Spanish, Dutch and Portuguese all wanted us gone but none so much as the French. They sent out a fleet to hunt us as we headed to the west and the America’s but they were having trouble catching us. It wasn’t until they put sent out a man called Jean-Luc Tiggal. The man was a notorious pirate himself but the money offered for my head was more than enough to being him back home.

We didn’t run from him but we didn’t wait for him to catch up either. I knew how the French were and I knew that he wouldn’t care about the people he was suppose to be protecting. It was this fact that lead to the fall of the Royal family nearly a century later. They didn’t care about the common man and I knew how to use that against them.

“This don’t seem right Captain.” Sam said as we watched the convoy move through the Cape Verde Islands preparing to make a run to France. “The Islands are to close to each other and there are to many places for them to hide. They could come at us from every direction.”

“I think that might work for us.” I smiled. “Which ones got the gold Carson?”
