This is a poem my 14 year old daughter wrote.

I look into your eyes,

and see the beautiful sea.

A very lovely view.

The blue in your eyes sparkle,

like the rolling of ocean waves.

Beautiful imagery as ever highlighting pure passion – the “rolling of the ocean waves” shows the clear passion you’ve hidden behind this poem. Good job!

So simple and yet still transporting the reader away. Good work.

Oh, sorry, I didn’t notice the bit where your 14 year old daughter wrote this…this is a really brilliant job and be sure to tell her because I just love supporting young teen writers like myself and what she’s written is a serious indicator of talent! theresacall is so right!

Very poetic words for a 14 year old!Tell her very well done and keep up the writing!

I really enjoyed it! Your daughter is on her way to being a really great poet. If I didn’t know the poem was written by someone who is 14, I would have assumed that an adult wrote it. She’s a really good poet.

A few lines of a similar poem of mine on Helium and AC:

“Oh, how can your eyes be so blue
That I think I can swim in them.
In some eyes one gets himself lost
But in yours I can find the real me.”

    Wonderful piece, Darla, thanks.
