I’m searching for an explanation

I’m looking for a reason. Please could

someone help me; lend me your intuition.

It makes no sense at all, this situation is appalling.

In fact it’s down right wrong and nothing’s more annoying.

I was on a bus this morning, I sat there reading the paper.

It was the usual news, some good, some bad, some not news

at all. And there it was, this sickening story. It rips my

heart to say or write. The story tells of a man once

killed in the collision of his car with another. The man

who caused the accident admitted to dangerous driving. Because

of him a life is lost.

So how you ask. How did this happen. What caused this grave

destruction. Well it’s quite simple, a two word crime. The culprit

was text driving! Yet that is not the sickening part, no, that’s

not the detestable bit. What’s disheartening is that this culprit

has been released. Only 16 days he served, behind the bars of steel.

16 days in jail for the man that he did kill. It’s appalling and disgusting.

Repulsive and annoying. A man once surely loved, his life was lost in vain.

Surely justice should prevail, a life lost need not go unpunished. What

ever happened to consequences for every action?

Why was this man released? Why was he set free? His lawyers shout

the answer from the roof tops, and it’s the saddest thing of all.

So why can he get away with murder you ask………..it’s because he’s a V.I.P
