BECAUSE I AM HIS

A hunger grumbles in my soul.
My mood would paint a picture gray;
clouds hiding sun and all the stars.
It is sad feeling this way,
so empty, alone, in despair,
like no one really understands,
not even God would care,
like nothing in this world is right,
perhaps will never be;
just pain and suffering… No hope;
life’s cup seems on empty…

Then I remembered, I remembered!
Behind the clouds the Son still shines
lighting up our darkness, attending every need:
GOD, omnipresent, omnipotent, all divine
and I am His and He is mine.

All I have to do is follow,
trust Him and believe.
He will shine His light of life
and His blessings I’ll receive…
No matter what befalls me
in life, even unto death;
I am His and He is mine.
He fills my emptiness.

All I have to do is ask Him,
listen to Him, seek His will:
Ah, Green pastures and fresh waters,
with joy my cup is filled.

The sun by day is shining brightly.
He paints the night ten thousand stars,
He’s omnipresent, omnipotent
and knows right where we are.
