This is a poem about a prison I was in.
bedford has its way to break you
a way that can swallow you whole
but think of ways to be successful think of ways to mantain self control
ofcourse life here can be a challenge
at times bring you to your knees
continuously praying to your higher power give me strength please
with nothing on your mind but home, freinds and family
and that everybody is 1 day closer to being free
that walls are dull and try to inhale you soul
take away your smile take control
control of your happiness make you depressed and in pain
while strugglin to mantain
mantain sanity keep your head above the waters
remember your loved ones, sons and daughters
way passed sick n tired your breaking point
some may not be able to cope
so they take the self mutalation route there thought of only hope
others may do drugsto numb there pain
not caring about the consequences
but everybody does something to keep from going insane
so as you walk around in your lifeless greens the symbol of a stereotyped inmate
beleive to have nothing but broken dreams
remember this shall too pass and you will to one day be free
there is light at the end of everybodys tunnel just open your eyes and you will see
that your future leads nothing more then life long beauty
