Sometimes in life, we are forced to make up fairy tales of our own.

I have conjured up a new version of my life

A rendition that in no way mirrors reality

For in my story, I win your heart

And you are mine for all eternity

Women from every walk of life envy me

For I have managed to win the prize

Despite their beauty, despite their charms

Despite their deceitful and conniving ways

But with a gentle and sweet spirit

With a shy smile I have won you over

An inner beauty that outshines the superficial

A richness of life that money cannot buy

An honest love that never sought

To mislead or deceive you – I have won

This is the story I will tell myself

Each night as I stare at the pillow

Where your head used to lay

In your dream you deserve to win the prize. That’s beautiful.

All this pillow talk, and dreams. I actually want to reach over and touch someone. Lovely piece.

Inner beauty is the quiet I love to listen to. I wonder what other sounds the pillow might speak to me? Beautiful write.

That was heartfelt. A sad fairy tale to go through for someone who’s head no longer lays beside yours and you obviously long for? A beautiful poem.

You seriously have a way in playing with words, and I mean it in a good way!!

‘An inner beauty that outshines the superficial’, an example of a perfectly sewn line… Great Job!!
