My daughter is a funny child, with most peculiar habits
she went to bed tucked up last night with three dogs and
two rabbits,
a dinky car, a plastic doll, and half a roller skate, two
teddies and an elephant, that she has christened Kate.
She fell asleep and didn’t stir, she really did look sweet
Even though a story book was right across her feet.
And then she called to me tonight, “oh really Mummy!
I cannot get to sleep because my mattress is all crumby!”
