People who drink to get drunk and not feel anything don’t realize it can lead to an early grave.
Sometimes I pray
what you read
will make you think
to not sit there
in the shade of the tree
to stay cool
and drink many beers
all alone anymore
Sometimes I pray
what you read
will make you think
and hopefully realize
that drinking many beers
is harmful to your body,
mind, and well-being
Then I pray
as I say my last goodbye to you
before they close your coffin
and bury you below my feet
that at least you were happy
with being a dazed and confused drunk
