A narritive poem about beauty and love, beyond the physical.
Beheld of Heart
By Tony DeLorger © 2011
Beauty is beheld not from sight but from the heart,
an empathy of form and substance.
Beyond the physical there is an essence
that is plain to the beholder.
An essence that can endear our hearts
and stir the love within us to expression.
This attraction has nothing to do with the physical,
and saturates our minds with bare emotion.
We are momentarily swept away with appreciation,
our senses raw and heightened.
Mere images ignite the passion,
but it is the heart that savours it.
How empowered we feel in the presence of love,
its devouring softness inspiring surrender.
How lost we can be under its spell,
our actions below consciousness.
Blind we may be in a state of denial,
the power of love a blissful ignorance.
But how wonderful the ride,
he beauty perceived from my heart.
