We can make other people believe that what they see on us are true but we can’t lie to ourselves on what we are going through inside.

Look at the clown child! Hear his laughter!

Listen to his jokes! Listen to him clear!

Tell me child, what do you see?

Tell me what he does to make you happy.

To complete your day, he does his funny tricks,

Efforts to make-up, and draw circles on his cheeks.

Tell me child, what do you see?

Aside from him looking so funny.

So sad child because you cannot see,

You won’t understand because you’re too young to care.

Behind those mask and colorful costumes

Is a heart that silently moans.

Oh child, see how much he cares for you

It’s not easy to paint a smile on you.

Behind his laughter, you can’t see nor hear.

The bruises of life he’s trying to bear.
