From the ROX group of my freshmen year of high school. Don’t judge because I made it last year (sophomore at the time) and I was soft back then.
Sometimes being a girl,
Means being in a lonely world.
All the hurt and the pain,
Everyday it’s always the same.
This is why I love the rain,
Even though it may be hot,
And my energy may be drained.
This could send someone’s mind into a twirl,
But we’re just being girls.
When we’re little, we love toys,
But as we grow older,
We start to like boys.
There may be boys that we text,
And usually the next piece to the puzzle is sex.
I feel so shamed,
To be part of this game.
Even being young and intelligent,
Some of us still go out and get pregnant.
This process may be timeless,
After we are done doing this,
We seem to be getting no more text messages.
And now I quote Miley Cyrus,
“I can’t be tamed.”
And “I can’t be changed.”
But unlike the third quote,
I can be blamed.
Blamed for my own actions,
And to boys with my attractions,
And also to other things that may cause bad reactions.
Usually relationships that happen like this could end up in love or hate,
But to me,
It depends on your fate.
If you have faith,
Maybe God will give you a break.
In the end, it all depends on you,
What can you do?!
