passing time
sitting here
dreaming
thinking
writing
what my mind can’t sputter out
for the world to hear

I still wonder
what it is you want from me

is it friendship
is it love
is it something more
like you told me in the past
but now
you are pushing me away
as if you are frightened
to feel, to love, to know
what true love really is

so here I am
passing away the time
dreaming
thinking
writing
what my mind, my heart has to say
and hoping
you stop pushing me away
because love never vanishes
love never disappears
but a friend
a true, real friend
can and will
vanish and disappear
if pushed away,
if ignored for too long
if avoided too much
