Belated something, I finally thought about what that really might mean; you know what day I really don’t want to talk about. Belated Exaltation… I think I’m overdue for happiness, for life, and even my death; do you remember when I didn’t want to forget?

Elated to be belated, there was a time
Before the day
Were the years ever kind?
When I just couldn’t wait
Didn’t much appreciate
But I was serenaded
No one missed to say
Elated to be belated

Days when I could spin a line
A day I was made
I didn’t want to hide
Payday
They all knew the way
Never hesitated
How I got paid
Elated to be belated

And now I find
My birthday
Funny, never mine
Go away
This moment I hate
Life not celebrated
Shouldn’t be alive this date
Elated to be belated

Future or fate
Twenty-seven years, I’ve played it
I’ll be someday
Elated to be belated
